Audition Season "Drop-in" Masterclass

Efficiency during orchestra rehearsals is always a priority, and a singer who demonstrates that they know when to “lock in” their attention to a conductor and how to clearly communicate their musical intention in the moment will have an advantage in auditions.

Maestro Basney will coach you individually for 20 minutes on an aria that you present, pointing out the important musical moments in the aria that conductors in auditions will listen for, showing you how to demonstrate your understanding of the conductor/singer collaboration at these moments and building your confidence in the musical choices you have made. Time slots are available from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Preference of time slot will be given by order of bookings. You will recieve an email with your time slot 24 hours before Masterclass. 

The ”Drop-In” master class costs $30 for each participating singer who can come to the master class, sing at the next available time and then leave, or who can decide to stay for a half hour or more to listen to other singers as they are being coached about the conductor/singer interface.
